Monday, April 14th, 2014ATMOSPHERES – 1000 HUMAN ENVIRONMENTS @ POLIMI
Thursday, March 27th, 2014Application closed!
.
For the first time, in conjunction with the Design Week, 8-13 April 2014, Politecnico di Milano will perform an environmental installation that will take place at Campus Leonardo. All the students of Architecture (both in Leonardo and Bovisa and of all Study courses) will be the authors. The theme of the choral exhibition is “Atmospheres – 1000 Human Environments”: the students have to answer for the recreation and suggestion of a “environmental atmosphere” that could be a minimal space, an internal environment, an open space, an imaginary place, a place to be…

Stazione Agip got listed
Friday, February 21st, 2014We just found out that the Stazione di Servizio Agip, the beloved building topic of our 2012 Design Lab, has been officially listed. According to the public authorities – namely the Ministero dei beni e delle attività culturali e del turismo – the building is “of particularly outstanding historical and artistic interest” and will be now subject to safeguard. The official document stating this important judgement features a short bibliography that includes our Lab-int-2012 as a reference.
It goes without saying that we consider this a huge achievenment for the commitment played out by our students in that project.
The Next Monument, Amsterdam
Wednesday, February 12th, 2014Are monuments only records of recorded histories? How can they act as a prompts for on-going reflection? Could a traditional monument be the starting point for individual commemoration? Does a memorial have to be fashioned out of bronze or marble to make a significant impression on our psyche? Villard 15 – Paesaggi strategici
Saturday, February 1st, 2014Lablog has been invited to share the Villard 15 International meeting in Venice [29-30/01/2014] and to present the new issued volume Re-enacting the past ed. by Michela Bassanelli and Gennaro Postiglione. Venice was immersed in the water – as it happens in this season – and all transfers required much more time and a lot of patience, but for sure giving to all of us the precise feeling that this is a city like no one else in the world.
Giornata della Memoria 2014
Sunday, January 26th, 2014Mirjam Ohringer – Widerstand gegen die Nationalsozialisten in NL
