L’azione di allestimento-istantaneo del workshop si propone di realizzare un’esperienza di ri\conoscimento da parte degli studenti del corso del valore di alcune semplici unità di case contadine del borgo abbandonato di Alianello (MT) , stimolando gli stessi studenti ad immaginarne usi e sensi da mettere in scena partendo dai resti, dagli scarti che il caso ed il tempo hanno determinato: entrare in un luogo che, dopo tanta vita (storie di quotidiana fatica e banalità, sentimenti e violenze, nascite e morti, riso e pianti), ha conosciuto l’abbandono in un istante, senza che nessuno sia passato a mettere ordine.

Un luogo vero in quanto non musealizzato, dunque pieno di tracce.

Grete died the 25th of September 2010 at the age of 93: always working with the same energy and lively creativity! I met her the first time in 1994 and I was shocked by her beauty and cleverness: I was with Christian Norberg-Schulz who introduced me to one of the most outstanding woman I have ever met. From that visit, I have always tried to pass by her in the house she was leaving since the 1955: Planetveien 12! The house was designed by her husband Arne Korsmo (a master of  Norwegian second generation of Modern architects) between 1952 and 1955, just before he left for Trondheim, for him and her wife Grete. She spent all her life there, respecting the initial utopia of the house programme: a place for life & work. This has been Planetveien 12 until she left for ever!

All’interno di etnografia domestica, progetto per un interno in cui stiamo provando a scalare il nostro metodo a un ambiente domestico e alla famiglia che lo abita, lanciamo una open call per la realizzazione di un’opera d’arte su un muro/dispositivo all’interno del progetto. Cerchiamo un’opera che sappia inserirsi nel metodo e negli spazi di etnografia domestica oltre che in un processo più lungo: al prezzo di una tinteggiatura più l’acquisto di un’opera sul mercato dell’arte, i nostri clienti (laura, federico e davide) si assicurano un programma, per cui a ogni tinteggiatura (ogni 3, 5 o altro, anni) l’opera viene sostituita con una nuova. In qualche modo un progetto di produzione e dismissione simultanea.

Ci aiuteranno a scegliere, oltre a laura federico e davide, claudio musso e fabiola naldi (esperti di arte contemporanea), emilio fantin (artista).

Salva Gente è un progetto che ha lo scopo di progettare la riattivazione di alcuni spaziabbandonati a Verona. Da un’analisi della città si è scoperto che Verona possiede numerosi luoghi dismessi, industriali, militari, privati, comunali e dello stato e allo stesso tempo si è constatato che la città non possiede dei veri e propri spazi pubblici “liberi” di essere usati come tali. La tesi mette in campo perciò la progettazione di un Kit che possa ridare vita a questi luoghi abbandonati per trasformarli in spazi pubblici fruibili da tutta la cittadinanza in modo libero.

cari amici,
volevo segnalarvi un design workshop che si terrà a napoli al RIOTstudio dal 2 al 5 maggio.
Il workshop si chiama “naturally combined” e sarà tenuto  da due interessanti designer austriaci Katharina Mischer e Thomas Traxler (Mischer’Traxler studio).
I due designer inoltre saranno a napoli al RIOTstudio già dal 29 aprile all’ 1 maggio con una performance “idea of tree” in cui faranno funzionare ‘Recorder One’, una macchina autocostruita alimentata ad energia solare.
La macchina comincia a produrre quando il sole sorge e si ferma quando il sole tramonta donando il raccolto della giornata,
l’oggetto/frutto su cui si può leggere il crescere e il decrescere dell’energia solare. Ciao Giusi.

After the Conference series in Oslo during 2009 and the editing of a catalogue published by LetteraVentidue in 2010, now – in 2011 – UNPLUGGED ITALY lands in Milan for a seminar where 3 architecture practices, on the 9 belonging to the original frame, will present their on-going work (download the poster).

The book is available at CLUP with 10% off for ‘conference attenders’.

Friday 25 March, at 18.00, the whole group of 9 architecture practices will present their work at the Fondazione Benetton, Studi e Ricerche (Via Cornarotta 7, Treviso). The meeting was curated by Made Associati, one of the 9 offices of UNPLUGGED ITALY.
